Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all customers. Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation and customer service within a vibrant cafe setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, in accordance with company standards. Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to during food handling and preparation. Maintain cleanliness of work stations, equipment, and customer areas to uphold hygiene standards. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders accurately and engaging with customers in a friendly manner. Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system; perform basic maths calculations as needed. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality. Restock supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts. Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.

Qualifications

Previous

barista experience

is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates. Knowledge of

food safety

standards and procedures is desirable. Experience in

serving

customers in a fast-paced environment is beneficial. Basic

food preparation

skills are preferred. Good

time management

skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods. Ability to perform
