We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Bid Specialist to join our Solution Sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the short, medium and long term acquisition of customer projects including but not limited to education frameworks. They will work closely with the Sales team, Pre-sales and Professional services team and be an exceptional, persuasive and versatile writer, with a high degree of attention to detail - drafting, editing and proof-reading bids, technical documentation and supporting material.
Key Responsibilities:
Liaise with key opportunity leads as relevant, including, sales, subject matter experts, architects and project teams to establish key messages and win themes for each bid.
Produce winning tenders by writing compelling responses to customer questions and requirements.
Lead all Free school bid engagement, research/attend meetings in order to develop an understanding of individual customer requirements and bring bid/tender responses to life.
Co-ordinate and manage the bid process effectively, ensuring all tenders are submitted in a timely and organised manner.
Manage the bid process to ensure delivery against key performance metrics, with a strong emphasis on new business sales.
Measures of Performance:
Accountable for a gross profit target
Customer acquisition
Maintain a high "bid to win" ratio.
Customer satisfaction
High forecasting accuracy
Person Specification:
Essential Qualifications:
GCSE Maths and English
Desired Qualifications:
A Levels
A degree in a related subject and/or professional qualifications would be advantageous
Full valid driving licence as UK travel is required.
Essential Experience:
Demonstrable experience in direct sales/account management in technology in the public sector
Skilled Solution seller with proven ability to create winning proposals.
Solution selling experience essential.
Have outstanding presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
Have knowledge to articulate a solution to multiple stakeholders.
Experience providing accurate forecasting using CRM.
Experience on working on multiple bids at the same time.
Desired Experience:
A clear and demonstrable track record of sales with achievement on/exceeding target.
Previous experience of designing and drafting of bids for submission to new builds and education establishments is desirable.

This is a full time position - 37 hours per week - Hybrid
