We're looking for a standout Bookkeeper / Office Manager - and someone who shares our values.

, main duties, and responsibilities:
We have 1 Full time role OR 2 Part time roles. Let us know which you are interested in when applying. Please note. This is an in person / office based role, in Whitchurch, Shropshire.
Role 1) Bookkeeping / Accounts
You will.....
- Manage the day to day financial accounts of our business. (We use Xero)
- Prepare and manage weekly pay-outs to our event organisers to ensure event funds are received by our customers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage VAT, HMRC, Payroll (and pension) - working with our independent accountants on annual returns.
- Work collaboratively with management to create meaningful financial reports, spot trends, and identify opportunities for the business to grow.
- Work collaboratively to manage company cash flow.
- Give holiday cover for your opposite number in our Australian office.
- You must also be prepared (every now and then only) to work the odd weekend working at events.
Role 2) Office Manager / Production Manager
You will be a 'Jack of all trades' and be open to almost any aspect of running and working in a busy office including....
- Work with our sales and production team to build events for our event organisers using our software. (Full training is of course given). The expectation is that over time you will be leading the production team.
- Be on the frontline of customer service. Answering the phone, dealing with live chats and answering emails to both the general public and event organisers.
- Manage the day to day of our live events team. Ensuring we have the right staff in the right places. (In collaboration with the relevant account manager). This is heavily summer focussed
- Be responsible for managing our fleet of equipment that gets sent to events, including setup for events, ensuring we have enough stock, buying and disposing of stock etc
- Ensure our policies and procedures are up to date.
- Booking events such as conventions for us to attend, as well as accommodation etc. Working with others in the team to prepare for these events.
- Finding and entering industry competitions and awards.
- Managing our internal environmental commitments ensuring that we adhere to our strong environmental credentials.
- You must also be prepared to work the odd weekend working at events, as well as being available on a rotational basis for some remote weekend cover. (Although this is very limited.)
As you can see from the above, flexibility and a positive attitude to change is critical for this role. As a small growing business we all 'muck in' every day!
This is a Salaried Role with overtime being paid as and when required for weekend work.
The Remuneration Package Includes
The Salary is 25,000 - 29,250 (Pro Rata) depending on experience and aptitude.
