Job Title:

Cafe-Restaurant Manager

- Full Time (40 Hours per Week)

Location: Rejects Department Store, Kirkcaldy, Fife

Salary: [27500 - 31000) - Depending on Experience. Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7 (including alternating weekends - one weekend on, one weekend off)

Shift Times:

- Weekdays: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

- Weekends (when working): Adjusted shifts (e.g., 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

About the Role:

As our Cafe-Restaurant Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our in-store dining operation, from breakfast and lunch service to coffee and homemade hot food. You'll lead a small team, manage daily operations, and have the creative freedom to refine our menu, improve efficiency, and attract more customers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage all aspects of the cafe-restaurant, including staffing, stock control, and budgeting

- Lead and motivate a team, ensuring high standards of food quality, service, and hygiene

- Maintain strict compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations

- Work closely with the wider store team to promote the cafe and increase footfall

- Build relationships with suppliers and manage stock efficiently

- Create a warm, inviting atmosphere that keeps customers coming back

- Implement strategies to boost sales, improve profitability, and enhance the customer experience

What We're Looking For:

- At least 2 years of cafe or restaurant management experience (essential)

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and inspire a team

- Experience in hot food service, menu planning, and kitchen coordination

- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills

- A proactive, creative mindset with ideas for growing the business
