An exciting opportunity has arisen for a
Chartered Structural Engineer
to join a growing and dynamic engineering consultancy. This role forms part of a wider strategic plan following recent organisational changes and offers the chance to make a lasting impact on the future of the business.
You'll be part of a collaborative and experienced team delivering a wide range of structural engineering projects, managing the full design process from concept through to completion. This role is ideal for a motivated, technically strong engineer who is looking to contribute to project delivery and continuous improvement within a forward-thinking environment.
Essential Requirements:
Must be
Chartered
- e.g.,
CEng MICE
,
CEng MIStructE
, or equivalent via a recognised UK engineering institution (ICE, IStructE, etc.).
Degree-qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant post-graduate experience.
Strong proficiency in structural design software (e.g., Tekla, Autodesk, Robot, etc.).
In-depth knowledge of Eurocodes and British Standards.
Capable of managing multiple projects independently, with sound time management and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for dealing with clients, colleagues, and contractors.
Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with geotechnical engineering or foundation design would be an advantage.
Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead on the structural design and delivery of various engineering projects.
Ensure all work complies with industry regulations, technical standards, and client specifications.
Prepare detailed drawings, calculations, and design reports.
Conduct site visits and attend project meetings as needed.
Collaborate with other design and engineering professionals to deliver integrated solutions.
Oversee projects from feasibility to final sign-off, including liaising directly with clients and stakeholders.
Contribute to the development of internal procedures and support innovation across the team.
