At 360 Children's Residential Services Ltd, we are passionate about creating safe, nurturing, and empowering homes where children and young people can grow, recover from trauma, and thrive. We are currently expanding and are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to help lead one of our homes through this exciting period of growth.

About Us:




We support children aged 7-17 who may have experienced early trauma, neglect, or disrupted attachments. Our work is rooted in therapeutic practice using the PACE model, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding, resilience, and belonging. Our homes are more than just safe places--they're places where children feel loved, valued, and equipped for a brighter future.

About the Role:




As Deputy Manager, you'll work closely with the Registered Manager to lead the daily operations of the home, guide the team, and ensure the highest quality of care is delivered in line with national standards and the individual needs of each child.

You are someone who brings strong leadership, emotional intelligence, and a deep understanding of residential childcare. You model best practice and can inspire others while always keeping children at the heart of what you do.

Essential Qualifications:



Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Qualifications:



Level 4 NVQ in Leadership and Management for Care Services Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children & Young People's Residential Services

Essential Experience:



Minimum 1 year of experience working with children and young people in a residential setting At least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role

Desirable Experience:



4+ years working in residential childcare or a similar care setting

Knowledge - You Should Understand:



Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and how they are applied in practice Safeguarding and Child Protection policies and procedures Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion principles GDPR and confidentiality in a care environment Impacts of trauma on child development The Children Act 2004 The Equality Act 2010 The Human Rights Act 1998 Keeping Children Safe in Education (2019) Therapeutic parenting and the PACE model

Skills and Abilities:



Effective time management and organisation Budget management (desirable) Confident handling of challenging situations and crisis management Strong team leadership and motivational skills Ability to build rapport and trust with children, families, and professionals Excellent communication--written and verbal Proficient in IT systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to write detailed, clear, and professional reports Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing needs Ability to incorporate feedback and recommendations from external professionals Skilled at tailoring communication to meet the needs of different individuals

Additional Requirements:



Full UK Driving Licence Willingness to participate in the on-call rota Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
