Job Description
We\'re currently looking for a Social Worker to work within a Fostering team in North starting 30/08/2023
In this role you\'ll be managing and supervising foster care placements in accordance with the UK national standards for Foster Care, Code of Practice and Fostering Services Regulations. You\'ll be expected to keep abreast of changes in legislation and national/local initiatives and manage and support allocated caseload and undertake professional duties as necessary.
You\'ll act, at all times, to promote equality of opportunities; ensuring children of different cultural, social and ethnic needs are given due regard.
To effectively carry out your work you\'ll be maintaining information on all aspects of the work record, and conduct user feedback to ascertain the views of carers about the service to inform service delivery. You\'ll respond to placement requests and may assist in decision-making concerning the placements.
You should be flexible, adaptable and act with confidentiality in order to establish trusting relationships with carers at assessment stage. Your work should ensure quality care and support during first placements, assisting with devising and facilitating training programmes with other team members.
