What we are looking for
To deliver excellence in customer service, preparation and delivery of food and beverages in a consistent professional manner.
To develop and maintain relationships with customers, staff, landlords and suppliers.
To train, conduct monthly appraisals and manage/supervise cafe staff ensuring they are professional, timely, presentable and enthusiastic.
To follow daily opening procedures for food preparation, storage and display.
Oversee daily coffee machine and grinder cleaning, maintenance and dialling in.
Ensure grinder calibration is recorded daily.
Ensure all food and beverages are prepared and served in a hygienic professional manner in line with company procedures.
Use the EPOS system to generate daily, weekly and monthly reports on sales, staff costs, stock holding and waste.
Manage staff and food costs to ensure they are within budget.
To manage stock by ensuring we hold a good par level of menu items, manage orders based on sales data and weather forecast.
Manage deliveries, routinely check prices and organise stock.
Prepare monthly stock takes data to be reconciled against EPOS sales data.
To manage our onsite waste, ensuring food waste and disposables are organised, recycled and composted in line with company environmental strategy.
Prepare and deliver data on staff hours for payroll ensuring that rotas are commensurate with business requirements.
To ensure all social media content is in line with company brand and social media guidelines and is fed to the media strategy team.
To maintain and inspect all company property and hired equipment to ensure any maintenance issues are highlighted before issues arise.
Trouble shoot, maintain and pre-empt problems that could affect ability to deliver services.

To cash up, secure the cafe and close up the site at the end of a shift
Hit sales and labour targets

Requirements
Experience running a team in the food & beverage (preferably coffee) industry
Own transport is essential - some of our locations are a bit off the beaten track
Ability to work weekends & bank holidays
Current First Aid & Food Hygiene Certificates a bonus
