Job Summary:
The
Cocktail Bartender/Bar Manager
will lead the cocktail service within the event, deliver high-quality drinks and excellent customer service. The role combines hands-on cocktail preparation and service with supervisory responsibilities, ensuring smooth operations, staff support, and an engaging customer experience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve cocktails, including classic recipes and seasonal specials
Perform cocktail flair techniques where appropriate to enhance the customer experience
Supervise and support bar staff during service, ensuring high standards are maintained
Assist staff with training on cocktail preparation and service
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
Monitor stock levels of cocktail ingredients, garnishes, and bar supplies
Handle customer queries and deal with escalated issues in a professional manner
Assist with daily cash operations, including checking floats and accurate cashing up
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient bar area
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong cocktail-making knowledge and bartending skills
Flair bartending ability (can do flares) to provide engaging service
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Good organisational and time management skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling
Experience:
Minimum of
2 years' bartending experience
, ideally with cocktail preparation
Previous supervisory or shift-lead experience in a bar setting preferred
Experience in high-volume or event-based service is an advantage
Personal Licence Holder preferred
but not essential
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and working in open weather conditions
Must be comfortable lifting and carrying stock
Willingness to take an active role in service when required ("all hands on deck" approach)
