Barista & Cafe Assistant in busy Deli/Cafe

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Barista & Cafe Assistant to join our team in a busy cafe setting. This role combines the art of making exceptional coffee with hands-on involvement in food preparation, plating, and customer service. You'll be a key player in delivering a warm, welcoming experience and delicious food and drink to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Coffee & Beverage Preparation:

Prepare and serve a range of high-quality coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages to customers' specifications.

Food Preparation:

Make sandwiches and other light lunches in line with menu recipes and presentation standards.

Plating & Serving:

Plate food attractively and deliver orders to tables, ensuring customers are happy and promptly taken care of.

Customer Service:

Provide a welcoming environment, taking orders accurately, answering questions about the menu, and assisting customers with any special requests.

Cash Handling:

Operate the till, manage cash and card payments, and ensure accuracy in all transactions.

Cleaning & Organisation:

Maintain a tidy and sanitary work environment, including coffee stations, prep areas, and dining spaces. Follow food safety standards for a clean and safe cafe. Cleaning down at the end of the day.

Teamwork:

Support other cafe team members as needed, ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations.
