Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the coffee shop, ensuring smooth service and customer satisfaction. Lead, train, and manage a team of baristas and kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas. Assist in food preparation and production, ensuring all items meet quality standards. Manage inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability of ingredients and supplies. Develop and implement training programmes for staff on food preparation techniques and customer service skills. Handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively, providing solutions to enhance their experience. Collaborate with management to create seasonal menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the culinary or hospitality industry, preferably in a coffee shop or restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety standards, and culinary practices. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer service. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as required. A genuine passion for coffee culture and an eagerness to share that knowledge with staff and customers alike.
