We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Coffee Shop Supervisor to join our dynamic new team at Caffe Massarella York. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Supervise daily operations of the coffee shop, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient service. Lead, train, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service while adhering to company policies. Assist in food production and preparation, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to maintain stock. Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback to foster professional development. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, including kitchen areas. Collaborate with management on menu development and promotional activities.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or coffee shop environment is preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively. Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is essential. Experience in cooking or food production is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service. Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure. Familiarity with bartending practices is a plus but not required.
