We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety while leading a team of kitchen staff in a dynamic restaurant environment.

Duties

Oversee all aspects of food preparation and presentation, ensuring dishes are served to the highest standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices within the kitchen. Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to guest preferences. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste through efficient kitchen practices. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, enhancing their culinary skills and knowledge of hospitality standards. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Conduct regular quality checks on food items before they are served to guests.

Experience

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting, showcasing strong culinary skills. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in supervising kitchen teams effectively. Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and other departments. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes that enhance the dining experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.25-18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 35 per week
