Commercial Administrator



The Role



The role of the Commercial Administrator is to support the Commercial Team, assisting with the management of commercial activities at the business unit level throughout both pre- and post-contract stages.Working collaboratively with the team to achieve the Company's 'Three Pillar Objectives'.

Key Responsibilities



General



Provide timely and accurate information for internal client reports, as requested by commercial personnel

Working with both the commercial and finance team, monitoring and updating commercial schedules to reflect interim cash positions

Managing project commercial documentation using Barhale's Microsoft SharePoint web-based filing system, ensuring records are accurately collated, categorised, registered and securely stored

Ensuring that all commercial documents received or sent by the project teams are logged according to the agreed document management processes

Collation and distribution of supply chain data, supporting the department's KPIs; including but not limited to supplier performance reviews and 360 feedback

Attend relevant commercial meetings and contribute where necessary

Collect and update the electronic version of any monthly progress meetings

Take notes at meetings for the commercial team as and when requested and distribute accordingly

Assisting with external commercial audits

Ensure the commercial processes and procedures are adhered to

Manage email correspondence from both internal and external stakeholders

Handle incoming phone calls, responding to or redirecting queries to relevant team members as appropriate

Perform general administrative tasks as required to support the Commercial Team

About you



Essential



Proficient in using the Microsoft Office package suite to include SharePoint Good written and oral communication skills General education to GCSE grade A-C or above, or equivalent Strong numerical and analytical skills Great attention to detail with excellent organisation skills Ability to closely follow and enforce procedures Experience in high-volume administrative duties Ability to work to specific deadlines A proven understanding of the importance of accurate data entry Proactive with the ability to work alone or as part of the overall team

Desirable



Previous experience in the construction industry and commercial environment
