We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Commis, you will play a vital role in supporting the culinary operations of our restaurant, ensuring that food production meets the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all kitchen operations. Support senior chefs in the execution of daily kitchen tasks, ensuring timely service during busy periods. Organise and manage ingredients, ensuring proper storage and rotation to minimise waste. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and effective communication. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food production techniques. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a passion for culinary arts is key. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting. Excellent teamwork abilities, demonstrating leadership potential within the kitchen team. A willingness to learn and adapt to new cooking techniques and styles. Understanding of basic culinary terms and practices, with an eagerness to develop further skills in food production.
