Job Description


Creation and implementation of the Infosecurity Europe Conference Programme.

Infosecurity Europe hosts a premium conference programme within its annual event at ExCel. This role is responsible for building and managing the content across 7 theatres, including a Keynote Stage, workshops, roundtables and interactive activities. The programme is tailor-made to the learning needs of each audience segment and as such plays a central critical part to the event.

This role requires excellent research and communication skills, commercial acumen and the ability to create compelling programmes tailored to specific audience personas, you will build industry relationships and partnerships to deliver first-class live content.

This exciting and creative role is ideally suited for a senior conference producer with 3- 4 years of relevant experience who is keen to take on a role that offers a high degree of autonomy and accountability in a matrix team structure.

Main responsibilities:

Conference Production:

  • Strategy & Planning: Utilise customer insight, needs and behaviours to develop the content strategy and plan for Infosecurity Europe.
  • Research: Conduct in-depth research via telephone calls, desk research, face-to-face meetings, surveys, collaboration with Editorial team and Advisory Councils to drive content development.
  • Production: Generate high-quality, research-based conference agendas and event formats to meet the needs of different visitor personas.
  • Speaker acquisition: Identify, secure and manage high-profile speakers from leading end-user organisations.
  • Sponsor account management: Manage the exhibitor call for papers process and work collaboratively with conference sponsors to ensure the objectives of both exhibitors and visitors are met through sponsored content.
  • Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team to support the delivery of the visitor audience by producing a highly topical conference agenda and a strong speaker line-up.
  • Content creation: Contribute to the content marketing strategy and tactics for the event by identifying opportunities for compelling content e.g., videos, polls, speaker interviews, speaker blogs etc. Collaborate with the marketing team to deliver this.
  • Sales: Collaborate with the sales team to understand the needs of the exhibitor customer to identify sponsorship and new product opportunities. Support sales at client meetings.
  • Partnership and Stakeholder management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with the information security community including end-user practitioners, vendors and service providers, associations, government, law enforcement along with internal stakeholders in marketing, sales and operations.
  • Project management: Accountable for developing the production timeline to ensure conference programmes are delivered on time and working with the head of marketing and marketing manager to ensure delivery of content plan.
  • Innovation and analysis: Manage and analyse event feedback and using data and KPIs to monitor success innovate, develop and improve conference strategies.
  • Event Management and Administration: Maintaining fully updated programmes, speaker lists and speaker biographies. Uploading and updating all conference sessions and speakers on the websites. Managing speakers\xe2\x80\x99 budget. Onsite management and ownership of the running order, schedule and agenda of the conference.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

This position requires an exceptionally well-motivated conference professional \xe2\x80\x93 a strong team player and communicator, who can demonstrate:
  • Demonstrable conference producing experience \xe2\x80\x93 experience in the IT/Comms space would be an advantage.
  • Experience in researching new markets and delivering top-level programmes to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organisation and multi-tasking skills.
  • A true team player.
  • A good understanding of IT and technical research.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both externally (speakers and exhibitors).
  • Strong creative thinking \xe2\x80\x93 recommending new and improved conference structures or models.
  • Excellent business acumen \xe2\x80\x93 demonstrating a desire to create new revenue streams and at the forefront of recommending new conference models.
  • Excellent customer service skills \xe2\x80\x93 building relationships with your customers internally and externally, ensuring communication is professional, timely and of high-quality.
  • A strong desire to \xe2\x80\x9cover-deliver\xe2\x80\x9d and to \xe2\x80\x9cpull out all the stops\xe2\x80\x9d to achieve success.
  • Strong people management skills and team-player. Must be able to demonstrate string networking skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
