We are seeking a creative and dynamic Social Media Specialist to join our team as Maternity cover. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy, enhancing our online presence, and engaging with our audience. This role requires a strong understanding of public relations and social media management to effectively promote our brand and connect with our community.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies across various platforms to increase brand awareness and engagement. Create compelling content tailored to each platform, including text, images, and videos that resonate with target audiences. Monitor social media channels for trends, comments, and messages; respond promptly to inquiries and engage with followers. Analyse performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns; adjust strategies based on data-driven insights. Collaborate with internal teams to align social media efforts with marketing initiatives and overall company goals. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to ensure the brand remains relevant in the digital landscape. Assist in managing public relations efforts by crafting press releases and coordinating outreach initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience in social media management or a related field is essential. Strong understanding of public relations principles and practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas for content creation. Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is advantageous but not mandatory.
