At Sheaf Training, we're looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Curriculum Co-ordinator to lead our work-skills and employability programmes -- ensuring learners gain the confidence, experience and skills to thrive in adulthood and employment.



About the Role



You'll play a key part in shaping and delivering a curriculum that prepares learners for the world of work. Working closely with tutors, support staff, employers and partners, you'll design and oversee engaging, high-quality learning experiences that reflect our commitment to inclusion, innovation, and excellence.



Your leadership will drive quality across teaching, learning and assessment; promote strong links with employers; and ensure that every learner's journey supports their aspirations and independence.



Key Responsibilities


Lead and performance manage a team of tutors and support staff delivering work-skills, vocational and employability programmes. Translate our strategic curriculum intent into effective, high-impact delivery. Work with employers and partners to co-design learning that reflects current and future labour-market needs. Oversee course review, quality improvement and internal verification processes. Support staff development, ensuring teaching and assessment remain innovative and inclusive. Use data and performance indicators to drive learner outcomes, progression and positive destinations.

About You



You'll bring:


Experience of leading or coordinating curriculum delivery, ideally within work-based learning, employability or vocational training. A strong understanding of post-16 education and the needs of high-needs learners. A collaborative, solution-focused approach with excellent communication and organisational skills.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.



If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
