Job Description

We are seeking a Curtain & Blind Maker Estimator to join the team at our workroom set in the beautiful Granary on the Berkeley Castle Estate in Gloucestershire. We are a fast-growing business, and we are fortunate to work on some amazing projects in the UK and overseas.

The ideal candidate will join with an understanding of curtains, blinds and soft furnishings, and an ability to problem solve to draft jobsheets and quotes from customer specifications and installer surveys. We have bespoke systems in place to help with quoting on all our products and successful employees have quickly got up to speed in the role. Full training will be provided. We had found applicants with a background in interior design or procurement have been successful in the role.

The role involves using:

Company CRM

Quoting software

Microsoft Excel suite

Xero

Working with our customer service and project management teams you will be a team player, and have a keen focus on delivering for our customers; high-end interior designers working in some of the finest residences and hotels in the UK and overseas. You will be contentious in following up and updating quotes and be open to learning to work from a wide variety of specification documents including CAD drawings and elevations.

This role will be full-time, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and based in our office at our Granary workroom.

The recruitment process will be as follows:

Stage 1: Interview (30-45 minutes)

Stage 2: 1 hour desktop systems introduction

Ideal skills are:

Familiarity with Microsoft Excel

Experience using Xero for financial management

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimations

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Ability to prioritise

Excellent communication skills for both internal and external communication
