Congleton Garden Machinery, founded in 1989, is a well-established and expanding retail business headquartered in Congleton, Cheshire. Internationally recognised for selling and hiring out horticultural, farming, forestry, equestrian, construction and all-terrain vehicle equipment and parts.

The Role



We are looking for a Sales & Parts Advisor to support sales growth across small machines, parts, accessories, and hire equipment, while delivering an excellent customer experience both in-store and across digital and telephone channels.

Key Responsibilities



Drive sales of small machines, parts, accessories, and hire equipment in line with company targets Act as the first point of contact for showroom customers, providing a professional and welcoming service Handle customer enquiries via phone, email, online channels, and in person Process sales transactions, raise invoices, take payments, and maintain accurate records Manage parts enquiries and identify upselling opportunities Book service work and create job cards, liaising with workshop and warehouse teams Manage hire bookings, paperwork, and customer handovers in line with safety and compliance standards Ensure customer leads, GDPR consent, and CRM records are completed accurately Support machine handovers, including safe use briefings and documentation Assist with customer returns, complaints, and aftersales support Contribute to continuous improvement, efficiency, and health & safety standards

A Successful Candidate Will Have



Experience in a customer-facing sales, retail, or service role (machinery or technical background desirable) Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach Confidence handling enquiries, payments, and CRM systems Good organisational skills and attention to detail A proactive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude Willingness to learn products and build strong technical knowledge
