The Role
We are seeking an
Experienced Deputy Manager
to support the Registered Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of with in the therapeutic children's home. This is a dynamic and rewarding role, offering the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the lives of vulnerable young people while progressing your management career.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise care teams in line with therapeutic values and best practice
Assist in the overall management of the home in accordance with the
Children's Homes Regulations 2015
and
Quality Standards
Ensure compliance with the Statement of Purpose and regulatory requirements
Develop and review placement plans, risk assessments, and behavioural strategies
Promote and maintain high standards of safeguarding and child protection
Respond to significant events and liaise with external professionals
Take part in the on-call rota and ensure staff performance through regular supervision
Support health, safety, fire regulations, and ensure quality assurance processes are met
Encourage development and participation of children in education, activities, and community life
What We're Looking For
Must be 21 years or older
Proven experience in a children's residential setting
, ideally in a senior or Deputy Manager position
Minimum Level 3 Diploma
in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Enrolled on or hold a Level 5 Diploma
in Leadership & Management (or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of
Children's Homes Regulations
and safeguarding legislation
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
Resilience, motivation, and a child-centred approach
Must hold a
full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills
Understanding of therapeutic childcare models
First Aid trained
Experience responding to Ofsted inspections or regulatory requirements
