We are looking for a passionate and motivated
Deputy Manager
to join a children's residential home supporting young people with
Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
.
This is a fantastic step-up opportunity for experienced Senior Support Workers, Team Leaders, or Deputy Managers with at least 2 years' experience in children's residential care. You'll be supported to grow into future leadership roles, with the chance to progress towards becoming a Registered Manager.
As Deputy Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager, leading a team of dedicated staff, and ensuring young people receive safe, consistent, and therapeutic care.
Key Responsibilities
Lead shifts, supervise staff, and promote a positive, child-centred culture.
Support the Registered Manager with safeguarding, compliance, and Ofsted inspections.
Manage rotas, budgets, and care planning to maintain high-quality care standards.
Mentor, train and develop staff to achieve their potential.
Act as a role model, supporting children to build resilience, independence, and positive outcomes.
Requirements
Minimum
2+ years' experience
in children's residential care (as Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, or Deputy Manager).
Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People (or equivalent).
Knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and residential care standards.
Experience managing staff teams, rotas, and budgets.
Full UK Driving Licence
required.
