We are seeking a passionate and motivated
Deputy Manager
to join a children's residential home that provides high-quality care and support for young people with
Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
and complex needs.
As
Deputy Manager
, you will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Manager, leading a team of dedicated staff, and ensuring that young people receive safe, consistent, and therapeutic care that helps them flourish.
This is an excellent step-up opportunity for an experienced
Senior Support Worker or Team Leader
with at least 2 years in children's residential care. You'll be fully supported to grow into future leadership roles, with a clear pathway towards becoming a Registered Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Lead shifts, supervise staff, and maintain a positive, child-centred culture in the home.
Support the Registered Manager with safeguarding, compliance, and Ofsted inspections.
Oversee care planning, rotas, and budget management to maintain high standards.
Mentor, coach, and develop team members to reach their full potential.
Act as a role model, supporting children to build resilience, independence, and positive life outcomes.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience in children's residential care (Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, or Deputy Manager).
Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People (or equivalent).
Knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and residential childcare standards.
Experience managing staff teams, rotas, and budgets.
Full UK Driving Licence required.
