We're recruiting on behalf of a children's residential provider who fosters a nurturing and therapeutic environment where children and young people can grow in confidence, resilience, and independence.
We are now seeking a compassionate and motivated
Deputy Manager
to join our home. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to support a dedicated team, work closely with the Registered Manager, and ensure the delivery of outstanding, child-centred care.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home.
Leading, mentoring, and supervising a team of Residential Support Workers.
Promoting a positive, values-led culture focused on safety, wellbeing, and achievement.
Ensuring compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards.
Taking a lead on safeguarding practice, risk assessments, and incident management.
Contributing to care planning, placement reviews, and effective communication with professionals and families.
Acting as a role model, encouraging children to develop life skills, independence, and positive outcomes.
Deputising for the Registered Manager in their absence.
What You'll Bring
Essential:
At least 2 years' experience in children's residential care.
Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People (Residential Childcare) or equivalent.
A strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management, and regulatory frameworks.
Experience leading shifts and supervising staff.
Resilience, compassion, and the ability to build trusting relationships with children and colleagues.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
Experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader.
Progression towards Level 5 Leadership & Management in Residential Childcare.
Experience supporting children with EBD and complex needs.

32,000 - 38,000 DOE
