We are recruiting on behalf of an experienced children's residential care provider who is seeking a passionate and dedicated
Deputy Manager
to join their children's home providing therapeutic care. You'll be part of a supportive, values-driven team, working with children and young people who have Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
As Deputy Manager, you'll lead by example, mentor your team, and make sure every child in the home feels safe, valued, and supported to reach their full potential.
What You'll Do
Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home.
Lead, inspire, and mentor staff to deliver consistent, high-quality, therapeutic care.
Be a positive role model, ensuring a nurturing environment for both staff and children.
Oversee rotas, budgets, and compliance to meet Ofsted standards.
Create a culture where children and young people are supported to grow, thrive, and achieve positive outcomes.
What You'll Bring
Essential:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a children's residential home.
NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People (or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted legislation.
A proactive, hands-on leadership style with excellent communication skills.
Ability to manage rotas, budgets, and staff supervision effectively.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable:
Experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader.
Additional qualifications in leadership, management, or therapeutic care.
