Due to expansion and acquisition of new homes, we at Abbey Green Therapeutic Children's Services are looking to recruit a Deputy Manager; working as part of a team, 'Therapeutic Parents' who are nurturing and supportive, that can give our children, high levels of care, allowing them to achieve outstanding outcomes.

Our Mission:



Abbey Green are driven to changing children's' lives for the better by providing a specialist service that tailors' therapeutic packages of care to support young people in their development. We specialise in attachment and early life trauma using therapeutic parenting, DDP and PACE.

The job role will require a high level of experience of working in residential care with children who have experienced trauma and have attachment difficulties. Working to a high standard, ensuring that our high standards are maintained, and the children have a safe and nurturing environment to live and thrive. Working with children and young people aged 7 to 17 years old with social, emotional and complex needs, offering them a home in which they can feel appreciated, acknowledged, safe and have the opportunities to progress and develop in all areas of their lives.

Candidates must have their NVQ Level 3/4 Diploma in Children's and Young People Workforce. They must also have at least 2 years experiences within Residential Childcare as a Senior Worker and working alongside young people.

What will I do as a Deputy Manager working for Abbey Green Therapeutic Childrens Services?



Using life skills, you will have the opportunity to make a huge difference within a child's life. Helping them to overcome any difficulties or disadvantages they may face - allowing them to strengthen their future. You will meet a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support. They may also require your guidance within education, training and employment. Within this leadership role, you will not only ensure the welfare and care of each child but also give guidance and support to all Residential Carers. You will be committed to making a difference, this includes being responsible for Carers supervision, leading shifts, ensuring placement plans are followed, policies, procedures, risk assessments, rotas and making sure that education is supported. You will have a great work/life balance. Our rota pattern which includes some evenings and weekends ensures consistency for the children and young people whilst providing you with flexibility and the means for training and progression.
