About the Home



Our Ofsted-registered home in Tottenham provides a safe, nurturing environment for young people with emotional or behavioural needs. You'll join a team committed to relationship-based, therapeutic care, with a development plan mapped out from day one to guide you toward Registered Manager.

Your Role as Deputy Manager

Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of home leadership - from compliance and safeguarding to team management and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:



Leadership & Team Management:

Supervise, mentor, and inspire staff, embedding a professional and positive culture.

Care Planning:

Oversee personalised care plans that promote growth, independence, and wellbeing.

Safeguarding & Welfare:

Act as safeguarding lead in the Registered Manager's absence.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

Support inspections, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Learning & Growth:

Engage in structured leadership development and hands-on management experience to prepare for your Registered Manager transition.

Fast-Track to Registered Manager



This role provides a

clear pathway to senior leadership

through:

Comprehensive induction covering safeguarding, HR, compliance, and operational leadership. Hands-on shadowing and co-leadership experience alongside a Registered Manager. Advanced training to achieve Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (if required). One-to-one mentorship from experienced leaders. A structured timeline and progression plan to confidently step into your own Registered Manager role.

What You'll Bring



Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role in children's residential care. NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), with willingness to complete Level 5 if required. Strong leadership, safeguarding, and regulatory knowledge. Ambition to grow into senior management and manage your own home. Compassion, resilience, and commitment to supporting young people to thrive.
