Job Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled Dispatch Manager to oversee our logistics operations and ensure the efficient movement of goods within our supply chain. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, along with experience in transportation management systems and third-party logistics (3PL). This role is crucial for maintaining effective shipping and receiving processes while managing a team dedicated to excellence in service delivery.

Responsibilities:



1-Oversee daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfilment.

2- Supervise warehouse staff, pickers, and loaders to maintain efficiency and accuracy in packing and shipment.

3-Monitor inventory levels and coordinate closely with procurement to manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and avoid shortages or surpluses.

4-Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and organisation within the warehouse in line with food safety and health regulations.

5- Plan and manage local, regional, and international distribution routes to ensure cost-effective and on-time delivery.

6-Liaise with logistics partners, couriers, and freight forwarders to optimise delivery schedules and costs.

7-Ensure compliance with EU and UK transport and food handling regulations, including temperature control and traceability.

8-Implement tracking systems to monitor shipment status and delivery performance.

9-Develop and implement efficient dispatch procedures and documentation for incoming/outgoing goods.

10- Maintain accurate delivery records, batch codes, and traceability documentation in line with Nitra's quality assurance standards.

11-Identify areas for operational improvement and introduce process automation or technology solutions where possible.

12- Ensure adherence to HACCP, BRC, and other relevant food safety standards.

13- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse and dispatch teams to meet productivity and quality targets.

14- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

15- Collaborate with the sales, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure smooth order flow and issue resolution.

16-Prepare daily and weekly dispatch performance reports, delivery KPIs, and logistics cost analyses.

17- Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making on distribution efficiency, supplier performance, and resource planning.

Skills and education:



- Experience in wholesale Foodstuff company in UK is a must

- Strong experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain management (preferably within FMCG or food sector).

- Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.

- Hands-on knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP/WMS) and dispatch documentation.

- Strong understanding of food safety standards, EU/UK transport regulations, and traceability systems.

- Ability to manage time-sensitive operations and maintain accuracy under pressure.

- Excellent communication and coordination skills across teams and external partners.

- Proven track record in leading teams within a food production or FMCG environment.

- Forklift licence or certification in warehouse management is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,500.00-45,500.00 per year
