The Royal Oak at Broadwas is seeking a experienced chef to join our team. Must be a good team player and have a can do attitude.
The duties will include the day to day preparation for our a la Carte menu and carvery. Being able to cook and serve dishes to the head chefs specification. Carving on our carvery when needed so good customer service skills is a must. being able to control the running of the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence.
We understand the hospitality trade is difficult to work in when it comes to work and life balance. We are offering a 4 Day week starting at 9 am and normally finished by 8.30pm. with alternate Saturdays. Hopefully we can aim towards alternative weekends in the future.
Ability to use common kitchen tools, including ranges, graters, and cutlery
Knowledge of the standards and regulations for food preparation
Excellent customer service skills
Understanding of quality control, raw materials, and other techniques for the effective creation and distribution of food products
Knowledge of food-related training techniques and curriculum
Understanding of different culinary techniques and profiles and a desire to learn new techniques and flavours
Ability to work neatly, efficiently, and safely
Ability to follow instructions without variations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 12.50-14.00 per hour
