Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the Extrusion Department. This role is responsible for managing production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and leading a team of operators and process engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aluminium extrusion processes, equipment, and team leadership.
You will work on
Oversee daily operations of the aluminium extrusion department, ensuring production schedules and quality standards are met.
Manage and optimize extrusion processes alongside our process engineers.
Lead, train, and mentor a team of extrusion operators
Manage staffing levels, shift patterns, and workforce planning to ensure optimal manning and productivity
Promote and develop Hydro monitor action plans in order to maximize team engagement.
Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with maintenance for preventive and corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives through our EBS model.
Analyse production data to identify trends, reduce scrap, and improve throughput.
Maintain accurate records of production, downtime, and quality metrics.

Your qualifications and skills
Minimum 5 years of experience in aluminium extrusion manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of aluminium extrusion processes, die design, and press operations.
Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001 and lean manufacturing principles.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
