Please note: This is an office-based role so you'll be with us on-site. While we value flexibility, this role isn't set up for remote working yet.
What you'll be doing:
Financial Management
Manage end-to-end payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Oversee accounts receivable and payable, including invoicing and credit control
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for management review
Monitor cash flow and support short- and medium-term forecasting
Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Compliance & External Liaison
Liaise with external accountants, auditors, HMRC, and advisers
Support year-end accounts preparation and statutory reporting
Ensure financial processes align with company policies and procedures
Insurance & Policy Administration
Maintain records of company insurance policies (employers' liability, public liability, motor, etc.)
Track renewal dates and liaise with insurance brokers
Ensure insurance and company policy documentations are up to date and available when required
Maintain and administer finance-related policies and compliance documentation
General
Support Directors with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting
Assist in improving financial systems, controls, and efficiency
Maintain confidentiality of all financial and company information
Occasionally helping the service department in managing RAMS, diary management & allocation of jobs via our CRM system.
We'd love it if you have:
ACCA qualification (or similar: CIMA, ACA)
Strong experience in finance and office management
A full UK driving licence
Good UK geographical knowledge--to confidently schedule engineer visits
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
Excellent organisational skills and a calm, can-do approach
Honesty, reliability, and a strong work ethic
