THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES





Reports to:

Head of Finance

Key internal relationships:

Operations Team, Head of Finance, Leadership Team


Key external relationships:

Accounts payable and receivables teams for both customers and suppliers, external bookkeeper and accountant





Key responsibilities:





1. Banking Management - you will manage the day-to-day operation of our bank account - ensuring that all cash receipts and payments are reconciled correctly and updating all relevant cashflow forecasts.


2. Accounts Payable - ownership of our accounts payable processes - ensuring all suppliers are paid on time, any incorrect invoices are queried and reconciled efficiently. This will require working with key members of the leadership team to understand why invoices are incorrect and need querying. Ensuring that all supplier invoices are catagorised correctly on the system so that our management accounts are correct.




3. Account Receivable - responsible for ensuring that all customers are paying their invoices on time. Sending out weekly statements to customers and chasing any overdue payments. Working closely with the Operations team to ensure any customer queries blocking payment are investigated and corrected in a timely manner.




4. Expenses Management - review of business expenses to ensure VAT is being calculated and accounted for correctly. Working with the leadership team to ensure expenses are in line with the company policy and escalating any areas of incorrect spend.




5. Month End Accounting - learning to calculate the month end accruals and prepayments to ensure a quick close to our month end. Once finalised, using the invoices and figures to build out profit and loss figures for individual Events, Accounts or Individuals as required by the leadership team. Additional ad hoc reporting responsibilities to support any business requests.

Degree, preferably in relevant area such as accounting or business

Strong academic track record, with an accounting background a strong plus Experience balancing and managing a high number of competing priorities Managing stakeholders and communicating across the business Ability to use Google Sheets & MS Excel proficiently

Salary banding:

30,000
