THE HADLEIGH PRACTICE (Corfe Mullen & Broadstone) - Finance Support Administrator

15.50 - 16.25 per hour (29,822 - 31,265 pa pro rata) dependant on experience
The Hadleigh Practice is a forward-thinking Practice with a Multidisciplinary Team of dedicated Clinicians, Managers and Administration staff, providing high quality GMS services. We are based over two sites with a total of 20,500 patients.
This responsible finance role will involve supporting the Senior Finance Administrator in the day-to-day financial administration of the practice and will include the use of IT systems and accounting software.
The successful candidate will be efficient, flexible, discreet, able to use their initiative and problem solve, whilst demonstrating good communication and interpersonal skills. They will also need to demonstrate attention to detail and confidence with figures/finance, as well as the effective time management. The ability to work as a team member as well as autonomously is essential, as is confidence learning and working with computer and accountancy systems.

Summary
This appointment will support the Senior Finance Administrator in the day-to-day financial administration of the business, thus maintaining the financial viability of the practice. The role will include the use of IT systems and accounting techniques.
Main Duties
Maintaining accurate financial information by inputting all relevant data into the accounts package (Xero)
Raising invoices when necessary for other streams of income
Involvement with payment of all invoices including payment of Locums
Reconciliation of accounts with accounting package
Banking of cheques as required
Assist with preparation & submission of VAT return if required
Assist with submitting quarterly returns to ICB & various agencies
Assist with the annual drug audit
Assist with Joiners/Leavers to Pension agency via on-line portal
Assist with PCSE queries as required
Prepare files for Accountant end-of-year auditing
Processing card payments
Assist with payroll submission & & completion
Assist the Finance team with duties as required
Flexibility to work and travel between sites
In addition:
Health & Safety: Agreement to the terms of the Practice Health and Safety Policy will be required.
Practice policies: Adhere to all Practice policies and procedures.
Other duties: Undertake any other duties as designated by senior staff under the clear understanding that they will be consistent and of a similar level of responsibility to those duties outlined above.
