Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to expertly fillet a variety of seafood products to meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Fish Filleting: Execute precise and efficient filleting techniques on various seafood, ensuring optimal yield and quality. Adhere to established filleting procedures and customer specifications. Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks on incoming seafood to ensure it meets freshness and quality standards. Identify and separate any products that do not meet quality requirements, reporting issues to the Operations Team..
Food Safety Compliance:

Strictly adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines during all stages of fish handling and filleting. Maintain a clean and sanitised work area to prevent cross-contamination. Product Packaging: Collaborate with the packaging team to ensure proper packaging of filleted seafood products. Ensure accurate labelling and documentation on all packaged items. Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including drivers, sales staff, and fellow filleter(s), to ensure efficient and smooth operations. Communicate effectively with team members regarding any special customer requests or specific filleting requirements. Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory levels, use by dates, sell by dates, reporting any shortages or discrepancies to the Operations Team. Assist in maintaining an organised storage area for seafood products. Equipment Maintenance: Regularly clean and maintain filleting equipment to ensure optimal performance and hygiene. Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the maintenance team promptly. Training and Development: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to fish filleting. Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance filleting skills and knowledge.
