Your Role as a Flexible Support Worker
As part of our dedicated residential team, you'll provide consistent, therapeutic support to young people in a nurturing home environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing hands-on support, including personal care and daily living tasks.
Building positive, trusting relationships that foster emotional growth and confidence.
Encouraging personal, social and emotional development through structured activities and routines.
Following and contributing to care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies.
Maintaining a safe and nurturing environment during both day and night shifts.
Keeping accurate records and reporting any changes in behaviour or wellbeing.
Working collaboratively with families, colleagues and professionals to provide joined-up support.
Travelling when required to support young people in different settings.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Experience supporting children or young people (residential or similar care setting preferred).
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust and positive relationships.
Patience, empathy and resilience, with a genuine commitment to supporting others.
A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Flexibility to work structured rotas including evenings, nights and weekends.
A team-focused, collaborative approach.
Desirable:
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or Children and Young People's Workforce.
First Aid training.
Experience supporting children with complex or challenging behaviours.
Full UK driving licence.
