Overview

We are seeking a skilled Floor Layer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and be proficient in various flooring techniques. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining different types of flooring materials, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.

Duties

Measure and cut flooring materials to fit designated areas accurately. Install a variety of flooring types including laminate, vinyl, and hardwood. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying necessary adhesives or underlayments. Conduct repairs on existing flooring as needed, ensuring longevity and durability. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless project completion. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, adhering to safety protocols. Communicate with customers regarding job requirements and finishes.

Skills

Proficient in construction techniques with a strong understanding of floor laying principles. Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of carpentry practices related to flooring installation. Ability to read and interpret floor plans for accurate installation layouts. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
