Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Floor Layer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation and restoration, with the ability to work effectively on various construction projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. As a Floor Layer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetic and functional aspects of residential and commercial spaces.

Duties

Install various types of flooring materials, including tile, hardwood, laminate, and carpet. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine layout and specifications. Perform construction estimating to assess project requirements and materials needed. Utilize hand tools and power tools for precise flooring installation. Conduct water damage restoration tasks as needed, ensuring quality repairs. Execute trim carpentry and cabinet installation to complement flooring projects. Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project completion. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs and concerns.

Experience

Proven experience in flooring installation, including tile laying and floor care. Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols. Knowledge of carpentry techniques, caulking methods, and fixture installation. Experience in the restoration industry is a plus, particularly in water damage restoration. Ability to perform remodeling tasks as required by specific projects. Proficient in using buffing equipment for floor finishing. Strong understanding of concrete finishing techniques is desirable. Previous maintenance person experience is beneficial for diverse project demands.
