Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Diploma Tutor to deliver the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (RQF) to learners working in our settings. This freelance role is ideal for a qualified tutor, assessor, or social care professional with relevant sector knowledge and experience who can guide learners through the full qualification and support their professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare in line with RQF requirements and awarding body standards. Provide tailored teaching, learning, and assessment support, adapting delivery to meet individual learner needs. Conduct initial assessments, create Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), and support learners in setting achievable targets. Provide robust, timely feedback on learner work and ensure all evidence meets Ofqual standards and internal quality assurance expectations. Maintain regular communication with learners and employers to monitor progress and encourage engagement. Work collaboratively with internal quality assurers (IQAs) and centre leadership to ensure standardisation and continuous improvement. Participate in standardisation, CPD sessions, and ongoing training when required.

Essential Requirements:

A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, AET, or PGCE). A recognised assessor qualification (CAVA, TAQA, or equivalent). Proven experience in delivering and assessing the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent Children & Young People's Workforce qualifications. Sound knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and trauma-informed practice. Excellent communication, organisation, and learner engagement skills. The ability to work independently and manage own caseload effectively.

Desirable:

Previous experience as a Residential Manager, Team Leader, or Senior RSW in a regulated children's service. Knowledge of E-portfolio platforms (e.g., OneFile, Bud, Smart Assessor). Experience delivering to learners in residential services
