Duties

Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Take orders accurately and efficiently, demonstrating excellent communication skills. Serve food and beverages in accordance with food safety standards and restaurant policies. Assist with food preparation when necessary, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving for resolution and satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and communication between front and back of house. Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to provide informed recommendations to guests.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred. Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Basic culinary skills or kitchen experience is advantageous. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. A friendly disposition with strong guest service skills, capable of creating memorable dining experiences.
