Job Description

A Carder is part of the furniture construction process and is required to follow product specification documents detailing the application of pre-cut cardboard to specific frame parts using hand tools and power tools. They are required to meet stringent quality standards of construction and production targets, ensuring every frame piece meets company standards. The detailed responsibilities below are specific to the job role and are in addition to our company employee responsibilities laid out in the contract of employment and company employee handbooks.

Responsibilities:

Assembly:

Closely follow the specifications given in product manuals. Follow training guidelines detailing best working practices. Pay attention to detail and produce items that meet company standards.
Quality Control:

Report any defects or issues to the Production Supervisor and participate in corrective actions.
Safety Compliance:

Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Maintain a clean and organized work area, free of hazards.
Process Improvement:

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs. Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve production goals.
Resource Management:

Maintain an inventory of parts and materials needed for assembly. Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition and report any maintenance needs. Manage time effectively to meet production deadlines.
