Job Title: Fabric Pattern Cutter

Job Overview: The Fabric Pattern Cutter will be responsible for cutting fabric according to specified patterns for use in furniture production. This role involves precise measurement, cutting, and organization of fabric materials to ensure efficient use and minimize waste. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabric cutting, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality products.

Responsibilities:

Fabric Cutting:

Measure and cut fabric according to specified patterns and dimensions. Ensure accuracy and precision in cutting to minimize waste and maximize fabric utilization. Use cutting tools such as rotary cutters, scissors, fabric shears, electric fabric blades and electric fabric drills.
Pattern Alignment:

Align fabric patterns and motifs according to design specifications. Match patterns across fabric panels to maintain continuity and consistency in the final product when required.
Quality Control:

Inspect fabric for defects or flaws before cutting and ensure only high-quality fabric is used in production. Report any issues or concerns with fabric quality to the Production Manager.
Organization and Inventory Management:

Maintain an organized inventory of fabric rolls and patterns. Keep track of fabric usage and update inventory records as needed. Coordinate with the purchasing department to order fabric supplies as required.
Safety Compliance:

Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Handle fabric cutting equipment safely and responsibly.
Collaboration:

Work closely with other members of the production team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of orders. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to address any issues or concerns related to fabric cutting. Liase with Development to create efficient working methods.
Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality in fabric cutting. Suggest and implement changes to cutting techniques or equipment as needed.
