Do you have experience of general maintenance in a home environment?
Are you looking for something a little different?
We are a growing organisation providing care and support to people with a wide range of needs. We are dedicated to putting the people we support first and applying positive intent in all that we do, within quality environments that embrace the importance of our connection with nature.
Within our community provision, we have six unique and high-quality homes in the community where we support people to regain their independence.
ABOUT THE ROLE.
The properties are small residential style community care homes. We are looking for someone with the right mix of skills and passion to ensure that our homes are kept well maintained and safe.
As the maintenance person, you'll take pride in the homes and environments that you maintain. You'll be responsible for basic repair and maintenance, including some decorating.
You'll work alongside other team members who are passionate about providing a safe and homely environment, as well as warmth and kindness to all those who live and work in our homes.
We are looking for someone to approach the role with an element of flexibility, and to work through the maintenance lists prepared in advance by the home managers. The amount of hours required will vary week by week depending on the lists prepared by the home managers, however, this will usually be one day per week. We are able to be flexible about the day and times the jobs are completed.
ABOUT YOU.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar maintenance role and will have strong practical skills. You'll be comfortable in a residential care setting, with the ability to relate to our residents in a caring, respectful and sensitive manner.
Confident working on your own initiative, and with a positive attitude and good communication skills, you'll prioritise your work schedules to meet the needs of the homes and their residents and be committed to providing a well-maintained environment for everyone who lives and works in the home.
If you think you have the right skills and attitude to deliver the highest quality of care for our residents as a maintenance person within our care homes, then please apply.
