Key Responsibilities - Kitchen Leadership & Menu Development
Manage, motivate, and mentor a skilled kitchen brigade, ensuring high standards of teamwork and professional growth for all staff.
Design and execute appealing, seasonally inspired menus using fresh, locally sourced produce.
Take full responsibility for food quality, consistency, presentation, and guest satisfaction in a high-volume pub setting.
Oversee food ordering, supplier relationships, and effective stock rotation to maximize freshness and minimize waste.
Maintain exceptional levels of food safety, allergen management, and kitchen hygiene, meeting all legal and company standards.
Control kitchen costs and deliver on agreed GP targets, working closely with pub management to achieve commercial success.
Champion a positive, inclusive kitchen culture, supporting training, wellbeing, and professional development.

Who We're Looking For - Essential Skills & Experience for Pub Head Chef Jobs
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, ideally within busy, high-quality food-led pub or restaurant operations.
Genuine passion for using fresh, seasonal ingredients and creating delicious pub classics and exciting specials.
Strong leadership, communication, organisation, and team-building abilities.
Keen attention to food cost, margins, and kitchen P&L management.
Level 2 (or above) Food Safety & Hygiene certification (Allergen Awareness preferred).
Hands-on, adaptable, and calm under pressure--ready to lead from the front, especially during busy service.
Commitment to high standards and continuous improvement in a guest-focused hospitality environment.
