We're looking for Head Receptionist to provide great service in a fast-paced work environment.


We are an award winning, family run surgery situated in South Devon. We have an excellent team of 5 vets, 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Veterinary Care assistant and a Practice Manager

What your typical day will look like:

As Head Receptionist, you will oversee the reception team, ensuring daily tasks are completed in a timely manner, whilst managing your own admin duties and making sure that a great level of customer service is maintained and delivered to all clients. Your focus is to provide an exceptional service to our clients and the best care possible to their pets - providing a link between clients and the clinical team. Your ability to build strong relationships with our clients, their pets and the practice team will be critical to your success. You will strive to continually look for ways to improve the client journey by re-assessing protocols and obtaining feedback from clients, while actively promoting our online presence. You will greet each client and offer support, guidance, and expertise, managing payments and future bookings confidently. Coordinating the smooth running of the day-to-day routines of the practice, so computer literacy is a must. Managing your team's rota, holiday requests and short-term cover Conducting appraisals and discussing performance as the Line Manager for your team

This is a part time vacancy, working 30 hours per week with a share of weekend work.

Previous receptionist experience in a veterinary practice would be preferred, but not essential. Previous admin experience is a must. We can offer a wage of 14.50-15.50 per hour DOE
