The Guide Post Hotel is a small friendly hotel in Bradford. We are professional, agile and our goal is to provide excellent customer service.

Our work environment includes:

On-the-job training Safe work environment
32 hours - 4 nights per week - 10.30pm till 6.30am (overtime available when busy periods, covering holidays and sickness). These are not set shifts and will be done on a rota basis.

Must have previous hotel night Porter experience

Pay will be calculated in accordance with the successful candidate's experience

Job Introduction
The Night Porter is responsible for the Hotel, its residents and its operations during the night time period and to ensure the safety and security of all guests and team members.

Main Responsibilities
The Night Porter will be responsible for;

The Hotel and its residents during the shift

Maintaining standards at all times

Banking

Night bar and serving drinks

Running all emergency evacuations and procedures as per the standards

Answering any guest queries or questions

Security of the property and the guests

Answering the switchboard

Arranging the conference/function set ups and turns rounds.

Checking guests in and out of the hotel.

Adhering to all health and safety regulations

Cleaning the hotel in all public areas, function rooms and toilets

Reporting of any maintenance faults.

Demonstrate good attention to detail.

The Ideal Candidate

Outstanding customer service skills

Previous experience in a similar operation

Excellent customer service techniques

A responsible and detail oriented approach to tasks

Ability to work alone

To have a great personality and be genuine, approachable and attentive.

Excellent spoken English.

Computer skills.

Positive attitude
