Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Hotel Night Porter to join our team in providing exceptional guest services within our establishment. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a welcoming environment for our guests, assisting with their needs, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organisation of the premises. A background in hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse clientele.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with their luggage and other requests. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of public areas, including lobbies, corridors, and entrances. Nightly duties will include brushing, hoovering and mopping all areas of the hotel. Resetting the hotel for the next day while also serving our late night residents bar. Assist with phone inquiries, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while addressing guest needs. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly. Ensure the premises are always safe and secure by conducting regular walk rounds of the hotel, ensuring fire exits and corridors are kept clear. Support events or functions held within the hotel by setting up spaces as required. Full training will be provided for this. Please note, there will be heavy lifting involved.

Requirements

Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to our diverse guests. Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage positively with guests and team members. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen attention to detail. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. A friendly disposition with a genuine passion for providing outstanding guest services. Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
