About the HR Dept: We provide an outsourced HR service to a wide range of businesses and charities at a cost that makes sense for SMEs. We become a company's outsourced HR Department. Particularly in smaller organisations, the employees are often the Company's best assets. Many SMEs are not large enough to warrant the costs of employing a full time HR presence, but at some point, everyone needs a helping hand so business owners can get on with the day to day running of their business.
We provide support to businesses across Edinburgh & the Lothians.
Main Duties:
This role provides high quality HR advice and support to our clients. The postholder will also work with the Managing Director in their duties in developing the business, and work collaboratively with other team members.
The core element of this role:
Responding to queries and providing quality documentation to our customers on all HR related matters and giving advice on how they impact our customer's business and the necessary actions to be taken.
Key accountabilities of this role will include:
Using your HR knowledge and expertise to advise Business Owners and Managers on employment law and people issues.
Provide advice and guidance to Business Owners and Managers during Disciplinary or Grievance processes.
Review and Prepare Employment contracts and Employee Handbooks
Writing and answering questions about HR policies.
Develop materials and participate in seminars and training for customers and potential customers on employment issues.
Maintenance of administrative systems, both paper and electronic, including the CRM system.
Support the provision and delivery of added value services.
Work collaboratively with other team members on all aspects of the business, including business development.
Qualifications and experience required for this role:
Embodies and lives the HR Dept Values
2-3 years relevant HR experience including extensive ER casework
CIPD qualified (level 5 minimum)
Full driving license
Flexibility and adaptability
Strong Communicator - you'll be dealing with Business Owners and their teams across a wide portfolio of businesses (Verbal, written and strong telephone communications)
Relationship builder
Self-starter, able to work under pressure and manage multiple projects at once
Focused on delivering results
Resourceful, proactive and able to initiate activity
Positive and emotionally resilient
Team player, willing to "muck in"
Regular use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and CRM systems

Job Type:
Full-time hours are 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday). This role is homebased with regular client visits throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians as well as team meetings and catch ups being held in person in Edinburgh.
