We are looking for a highly focused, qualified and motivated HR Advisor for our head office based in Glasgow.
The Role
As HR Advisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring our people feel supported and engaged. Working closely with HR Manager and Head of HR and People, you will provide expert guidance on a wide range of HR matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
Advising on employee relations, absence management, performance management, and wellbeing.
Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
Ensuring compliance with employment law, HR policies, and sector-specific requirements.
Coordinating pre-employment checks, including Disclosure Scotland/PVG and monitoring staff registrations.
Advising on UK Visa and immigration regulations to ensure compliance with right-to-work requirements.
Supporting managers with SSSC registration processes and maintaining compliance standards.
Guiding and supporting managers through the disciplinary process, including investigations, hearings, appeals, and drafting outcome letters.
Liaising regularly with our employment law partner for advice and case support.
Coaching managers to handle HR issues confidently.
Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
We're looking for someone with:
Experience in an HR advisory role (ideally within care, health, or a people-focused industry) with up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law, disciplinary processes, and HR best practice.
CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Has strong knowledge of UK visa requirements, Disclosure Scotland/PVG checks.
Is confident working with managers, coaching them through HR challenges.
