We have an
exciting opportunity for two experienced HR Advisors to join The
British Library's People Team.
The successful
candidates will play a pivotal role in rolling out key changes
into the business areas alongside the Senior HR Advisors and HR
Business Partners, whilst ensuring exceptional HR service
delivery to managers and employees across the Library.
This is a
challenging and varied role, and the successful candidates can
expect to dive into complex employee relations matters including
sickness absence, disciplinaries, and grievances, as well as
supporting managers with their recruitment campaigns, performance
management reviews, day-to-day HR queries, and GDPR
compliance.
The ideal
candidates for this role will:Have experience building effective relationships with managers
and employees; Have experience confidently managing a number of employee
relations cases (informal & formal), including conducting
investigations to a timely resolution; Have a sound understanding of UK employment Law and ACAS best
practice; Have experience of working in Unionised environment;
Have experience of dealing with sensitive HR issues in line
with the Library's values and policies; Demonstrate evidence of their own learning and
development; Be comfortable making decisions on day-to-day HR matters and
problem solving; Have experience within the HR Team with a local or national
public sector organisation or in the public sector.
