THE JOB


As HR & Payroll Specialist you ensure compliance and provision of the payroll function for UK & Ireland. Maintaining accurate records to ensure timely liaison with all external stakeholders. Identifying key improvements where possible to further enhance the employee experience.

You are responsible for managing all payroll processing and data whilst supporting the Regional HR & Communications Manager to ensure the smooth operation of day-to-day HR activities.

Payroll Processing

; Manage the processing and financial reconciliation of payroll. Including data entry, verifying hours worked, calculating wages, and addressing any discrepancies. In addition to managing one off payments and the implementation of the annual compensation review. Collaborate with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues. Become a key user of Boortmalt's T&A and payroll systems and encourage user adoption thereof in the region.

HMRC

; Ensure accurate delivery of annual P11d's, monthly posting of payroll journals, alongside timely data shared with HMRC to reflect changes in employee status

HRIS

implementation

support

: support the selection and implementation of a new HRIS in the region - to include preparatory data audits, contributing to User Defined Specification and becoming a system super user/champion.

Employee

benefits

: support the full HR administration of employee benefits such as pension and health insurance and other secondary benefits such as company cars. This includes management of enrolment processes, changes, onboarding and terminations. Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits.

Data reporting

: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation, including personnel files, payroll records, and benefit information. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Support the Regional HR & Comms Manager UK & IRE

with the general HR administrative tasks, such as but not limited to:

Delivering accurate data in view of the annual budgeting and recurring financial reporting processes. Assist in the onboarding and offboarding processes, including paperwork completion, orientation, and training coordination. Recruitment support by scheduling interviews, coordinating meetings, and assisting with employee relations matters. Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and inquiries. Manage HR purchase order processing to ensure timely payment and monthly reporting.

Personal development

: Maintain up to date knowledge with regards to regulations to ensure compliance in payroll and HR practices. Be an ambassador of Boortmalt's values of strive, care, explore and inspire.

WHO YOU ARE



Experienced or qualified in Payroll / Business Management, relevant to UK and IRE payroll (CPP desirable*)
Full payroll administration experience - including legislation and tax regulations, posting monthly payroll journals Human resources administration experience desirable but not essential Managing relationships with benefit provider and other third parties Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support managing information across teams Ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload Attention to detail and accuracy driven Experience with ADP and Kronos (UKG) Advanced in Excel / Microsoft Office Fluently in English
